The alternative fuzz rock quintet is back with a sequel to their 2006 Carnavas. Swoon ($8) is 10-tracks of vindication that proove the L.A. quintet deserves their time in the midst of today's noise rock/pop scene. The Silversun Pickups balance hazy noise guitars with roaring melodic vocals, layered static and insesent drums. The album comes in waves of ectasy from the more reserved "Draining" and "It's Nice to Know You Work Alone" to the more driving "Growing Old is Getting Old" and "The Royal We," Swoon is sure to posess a few more alternative singles.
